Nigeria: Altrad is awarded the full painting refurbishment for the hull of the BONGA FPSO

Early October 2020, ALTRAD Nigeria (PREZICON Ltd) was awarded the full painting refurbishment for the hull of the BONGA FPSO. The 300-metre long FPSO (Floating Production Storage and Offloading), which belongs to Shell Nigeria Exploration & Production Company Ltd (SNEPCo), started production of oil in 2006 and is one of the largest of its kind in the world. Several methods of access have been deployed (rope access, V-deck, UHP robot) to blast and paint this hull since early November 2020.

Altrad Nigeria is already present on BONGA FPSO non stop since more than 12 months working on top side modules, water ballast tanks… This hull project is then a new challenge four our Nigerian team. Project is planned to last for 6 months.
